Description

The Lead Web Developer guides the web development process for our diverse set of client websites and landing pages in our Enrollment Management marketing services division. We are seeking an experienced leader, dynamic problem solver, strong communicator, and self-motivated individual to join our team as the technical subject matter expert and owner of the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of our growing suite of digital marketing focused client websites. This position reports to the Senior Director of Software Development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Hands on front-end web development for responsive websites running on WordPress CMS, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
  • Manage a small team of web developers by triaging tasks, assigning them to an appropriate resource, maintaining development and deployment schedules in collaboration with business stakeholders and project management.
  • Maintain development infrastructure and processes including Git source control, code promotion and production deployment.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to the web development team. Strive to maintain high morale and pride in work and accomplishments, advocate for providing well designed solutions. Motivate and empower the team to make a difference in the business outcomes.
  • Keep in touch with current web development best practices, tools, and frameworks, and be proactive in strategically bringing those emerging trends to our sites.
  • Interact with clients directly to help gather requirements for new site implementations and to exchange ideas on site redesigns and major feature releases.
  • Work with business stakeholders to analyze and troubleshoot issues and process breakdowns.
  • Work with technical decisions makers to suggest and help implement architecture and process improvements.
