Brief Description: The Marketing Automation Specialist will execute automated marketing campaigns for higher education agency clients. The person who will succeed in this role will be highly collaborative, have a strong grasp on Marketo, and be able to build sound logic into complex smart list triggers and workflows.

We are looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to design and execute automated marketing campaigns for higher education partners. This person will be joining a small, but high-performing team focused on supporting our partners’ academic programs – from inquiry generation to graduation. The person who will succeed in this role will enjoy bringing new ideas, collaborating with cross-functional colleagues, and executing high quality, scalable campaigns in a dynamic environment.  A strong grasp on Marketo or another enterprise-level marketing automation system is a must, as well as a demonstrated ability to build sound logic into complex triggers and workflows.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with cross-functional teams in the planning, development, and execution of sophisticated Marketo programs
  • Write and build email marketing campaigns, including individual sends, drip campaigns, and triggered emails to support recruitment and retention efforts
  • Audit and update token values and structured snippets
  • Measure and optimize customer journeys to create a positive student experience and drive engagement, efficiency, and scalability
  • Build automated campaigns to support virtual events and digital lead gen efforts, with automated workflow steps including lead record updates, emails, and advisor tasks
  • Complete quality control reviews of all automated campaigns and assets to ensure accuracy and error-free copy.
  • Design and implement test plans (A/B and multivariate)
  • Report to internal stakeholders on the impact of marketing automation efforts
  • Recommend initiatives for improving results and mitigating melt through the enrollment funnel
  • Implement and maintain lead scoring criteria to prioritize lead follow-up
  • Identify and create new segments and deploy dynamic content to enhance customization and scale of content distribution
  • Set up and manage launchpoint integrations, including SFDC integration
  • Tasks may include data audits, data cleansing, list management, landing page creation.
